About me

Hi, I am Gemma and I am a printmaker and I live with my family on the beautiful Dorset coast. We love to discover and explore the local wildlife and landscapes along with our cute little Cavapoo ‘Sunny’ who comes on our adventures too! The area provides a bounty of inspiration for me which influences my lino print designs.

I have always enjoyed creative activities and been fascinated by colour. This love and passion led me onto an art course at college. However lino print was not taught then and I only learnt about this form of printmaking a few years ago, but once started I became obsessed!!!

There is something so wonderfully mindful and relaxing about this craft, along with elements of excitement too! From the inspiration and initial sketch, to the carving and then the printing itself, the whole process is such a joy. I love it!
