The Printmaking Process

Lino printing or block printing is the process of carving a design into linoleum to create a sort of stamp. You carve away the negative areas of your design leaving behind a relief. That relief area is then inked up with a roller/brayer. Paper is then pressed onto it, applying pressure using a spoon, a baren or a press. Your design will then be transferred to the paper, giving you a beautiful lino print.
